Zeff Scout primarily uses localStorage (HTML5 local storage) for application functionality, instead of traditional cookies. Local storage is used exclusively on the application domain and is not automatically transmitted to the server with each HTTP request, unlike cookies.
From a legal standpoint, the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) primarily regulates cookies. Local storage used exclusively for essential functionalities (authentication, user preferences) benefits from the exception for "strictly necessary technical storage" and does not require consent.

This data is stored exclusively locally, in your browser. It is not automatically transmitted to third-party servers and can be deleted at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings.
