eMAG Data Usage Policy
Last updated: May 23, 2026
1. Purpose of this document
This document describes, in a transparent and comprehensive manner, how the Zeff Scout platform (operated by CRENZY CREATIVITY SRL) accesses, processes and uses public information available on the eMAG Marketplace (eMAG.ro), for the purpose of market research and decision support for sellers operating on this platform.
This document reflects our commitment to ethical practices, respect for intellectual property rights and compliance with applicable legislation (GDPR, Competition Law, Copyright Law).
2. Nature of processed data
Zeff Scout processes exclusively public information, accessible to any visitor of the eMAG.ro platform, without authentication or special credentials. This information includes:
- Product names and public descriptions
- Publicly displayed prices
- Organic product positions in categories and search results
- Public seller information (name, public rating, number of listed products)
- Product images (used only for display, without modification)
- Public categories and subcategories
- Public popularity indicators (reviews, publicly displayed ratings)
Zeff Scout does NOT access and does NOT process:
- eMAG seller accounts, orders, or confidential seller data
- Areas protected by authentication or special credentials
- Personal data of eMAG buyers
- Conversations, private reviews, or any content that is not publicly accessible
- Internal documents, contracts, or confidential commercial data of eMAG
3. Source of data about legal entities ("Spy Seller" feature)
For the seller analysis feature, Zeff Scout aggregates official public information from:
- National Trade Register Office (ONRC) — company name, CUI (tax ID), registered office, administrators (public data pursuant to Law 26/1990 on the Trade Register)
- Ministry of Public Finance — public fiscal data (turnover, fiscal status, pursuant to Law 207/2015 on the Fiscal Procedure Code)
- Public eMAG information — ratings, number of listed products, years of activity on the platform
All this data is public by law and freely accessible to any citizen through the official channels of the mentioned authorities. Zeff Scout aggregates it to save its users time, without obtaining information that is not already publicly available.
4. Processing methodology
Zeff Scout uses proprietary technology and proprietary algorithms for processing public information. The specific technical details of our proprietary research infrastructure are the intellectual property of the company and are not published.
Declared operational principles
- Respect for eMAG infrastructure — we process public information at a low intensity, calibrated so as not to burden eMAG servers. Our access volume is comparable to that of a regular user browsing the platform.
- Public zones only — we do not access areas requiring authentication, we do not use credentials and we do not attempt to bypass eMAG security mechanisms.
- Extensive caching — to minimize interactions with the eMAG platform, we store processed data locally and update it only when strictly necessary. Our infrastructure is designed to minimize the impact on eMAG resources.
- Compliance with robots.txt directives — our infrastructure complies with the directives published by eMAG in their platform's robots.txt file.
- Transparent identification — we can be contacted at any time through our published channels for any technical or legal clarification.
5. Estimates and scores
The indicators produced by Zeff Scout — sales estimates, opportunity scores, trend predictions — are the result of proprietary algorithmic models, developed internally and continuously calibrated based on an aggregated collection of public market indicators.
These estimates:
- Are statistical predictions, not actual eMAG data
- May contain errors and have a confidence interval indicated in the Platform
- Are NOT official data and should not be treated as such
- Are intended to support user decisions, not to replace them
6. Non-affiliation with eMAG
CRENZY CREATIVITY SRL and the Zeff Scout platform are NOT affiliated with, sponsored by, associated with, or officially approved by Dante International S.A., the owner of the eMAG brand.
- We do not use the eMAG logo or other protected elements of their visual identity
- We use the term "eMAG" exclusively for descriptive purposes, to identify the analyzed market (legitimate descriptive use)
- We do not suggest or claim any form of partnership
- We do not issue guarantees on behalf of eMAG
We fully respect the intellectual property rights of Dante International S.A. All trademarks mentioned belong to their respective owners.
7. Commitment to cooperation with eMAG
Zeff Scout publicly expresses its desire to cooperate with Dante International S.A. for the benefit of the eMAG seller community. We are open to:
- Application to the eMAG SPN (Service Providers Network) program — we intend to submit the official application for inclusion in the official network of service providers for eMAG sellers
- Integration with the official eMAG Marketplace API — to the extent that eMAG grants us access, we are willing and ready to fully migrate to using the official API, discontinuing our proprietary research infrastructure
- Open dialogue — any request or clarification from eMAG will receive a prompt and constructive response
Representatives of Dante International S.A. can contact our team at any time at office@zeffscout.ro or via the contact details on our About Us page.
8. eMAG seller rights regarding their data
Legal entity sellers who appear in Zeff Scout analyses (particularly in the "Spy Seller" feature) have the right to:
- Request information about the data displayed in the Platform regarding their company
- Request correction of erroneous information
- Request exclusion from public analysis features (GDPR right of objection for personal data of administrators)
Requests should be sent to office@zeffscout.ro, with proof of legal representative status of the company. We respond within a maximum of 30 calendar days.
9. Complaints policy

10. Compliance with eMAG Marketplace Terms
We acknowledge that Dante International S.A. publishes Terms and Conditions for users of the eMAG.ro platform. Zeff Scout makes all reasonable efforts to ensure that its activity is compatible with the spirit of these terms, within the limits of legitimate use of public information.
If we identify aspects that require adjustment for better compliance, we will make the necessary changes promptly.
