Privacy Policy of the “ZeffScout for eMAG” extension

1. Who we are

The “ZeffScout for eMAG” browser extension is developed by Crenzy Creativity SRL, Romania, the developer of the ZeffScout platform (zeffscout.ro). Contact: office@zeffscout.ro.

2. Purpose of the extension

The extension has a single purpose: analytics for eMAG sellers, shown directly on eMAG pages (sales estimates, price history, buy box, category positions, tracked products). All collected data serves this purpose only.

3. What we collect

Only from www.emag.ro, www.emag.bg and www.emag.hu, and only from the pages you open yourself: product, category, search, seller and public seller profile pages.

We keep product and seller information: product code, title, price, currency, availability, number of reviews, rating, position in the list, whether a position is marked as sponsored, the seller name and the seller's public company details, the category, the active sort order of the list and the page number. We also keep whether you were signed in to eMAG (only yes or no), with no information about your account.

4. What we do not collect

We do not read account, cart, order, favourites, address, payment or message pages. We do not read cookies, forms or passwords. We do not track your browsing on other websites. We do not collect your name, email address or other personal data, unless you connect the extension to your ZeffScout account (then the extension uses the account for your plan limits and tracked products).

5. Installation identifier

A random identifier is generated at installation, unrelated to your person. It is used to detect faulty data and for operational statistics. It is associated with your ZeffScout account only if you choose to connect the account, and is dissociated when you disconnect.

6. How we use the data

The data goes into the ZeffScout database and is combined with data from other users to compute price history, sales estimates and positions. Raw data is deleted after 30 days; aggregated values remain, which are not linked to any person.

We do not sell, rent or transfer the data to third parties, we do not use it for personalised advertising and we do not use it to assess anyone's creditworthiness. These restrictions also apply to aggregated or anonymised data.

7. Where the data is stored

On servers in the European Union, with the hosting and database providers listed in the ZeffScout Privacy Policy.

8. Requests to eMAG

The extension makes no automated requests to eMAG. It only reads the pages you load yourself, in your browser. The extension does not modify eMAG pages, does not interact with the advertisements shown and does not make purchases or perform other actions on your behalf.

9. Permissions requested

• storage: extension settings and the temporary memory of the data shown;
• alarms: sending the data read to ZeffScout, in batches;
• access to www.emag.ro, www.emag.bg, www.emag.hu: reading the open pages and showing the ZeffScout panel.

The extension requests no other permissions.

10. Your rights

You can turn off data contribution in the extension settings, disconnect your account, uninstall the extension at any time and ask us to delete the data linked to your installation identifier or your account at office@zeffscout.ro. Your rights under the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection) are described in the ZeffScout Privacy Policy.

11. Changes

If we change what we collect or how we use the data, we notify you in the extension before the change applies. The current version of this policy is always available on this page.
